Arboricola Green

The green arboricola (Schefflera arboricola), also known as the dwarf umbrella tree, is a tough, glossy-leafed evergreen shrub prized for use as an outdoor privacy hedge or an easy-care indoor houseplant. It thrives in conditions ranging from full sun to deep shade and adapts well to regular pruning.

Growing and Care Basics 
• Light: Full sun to heavy shade outdoors; bright, indirect light when kept indoors.
• Water: Low to moderate needs; allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out completely between waterings.
• Soil: Well-draining soil mix; highly adaptable to poor sandy fill or standard potting compost.
• Size: Grows 8 to 15 feet tall and wide if left untrimmed, but easily sheared to maintain a compact 3-to-5-foot hedge or small container plant.
