The Philodendron Selloum also known as Tree Philodendron (Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum, formerly Philodendron
selloum) is a large, tropical plant known for its dramatic, deeply lobed, glossy green leaves that grow from a central trunk, creating a bold,
architectural look indoors or in warm climates outdoors. It's a low-maintenance, fast-growing plant that prefers bright, indirect light and moist,
well-drained soil, but tolerates lower light and can become quite large, making it a popular statement plant for containers or landscapes in USDA
zones 9-11.

Key Characteristics
• Foliage: Large, deeply cut, glossy green leaves that develop a feather-like appearance as they mature.
• Growth Habit: Upright and spreading, developing a woody, trunk-like stem as it ages.
• Size: Can reach 10-15 feet tall and wide in ideal outdoor conditions, but is often kept smaller indoors.
• Toxicity: Toxic to humans and pets, so handle with care.

Care Guide
• Light: Bright, indirect light indoors; outdoors, it prefers morning sun and afternoon shade.
• Water: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy; allow the top inch or two to dry between waterings. Water more in summer, less in winter.
• Soil: Rich, moist, well-drained soil with organic matter.
• Humidity: Prefers high humidity; misting or using a humidifier helps.
• Fertilizer: Feed during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer.
• Pruning: Can be pruned to maintain size and shape; it will branch from the cut area
